THIS IS AN IMPORTANT DOCUMENT – PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ IT CAREFULLY. BY ENROLLING IN OUR PROGRAM, YOU AGREE TO THE BELOW TERMS.
As parent/guardian of the participant, you declare that you understand that Swim for Your Life classes may involve jumping, diving, immersion in water and the use of specially designed teaching equipment, thus exposing my son/daughter to situations and physical activity not encountered in a classroom.
You understand that payment is required at the time of enrolment with The Village Swim School.
You acknowledge that The Village Swim School, its staff and associated instructors will make every reasonable effort to minimize exposure to known risks. All hazards and dangers associated with the various venues used cannot be foreseen or may be beyond the control of The Village Swim School, its staff or associated instructors, e.g., weather conditions.
Participants are not to be left unsupervised and unattended at any time.
If participants have had a gastro illness that has resulted in diarrhea, they must not attend swimming lessons with The Village Swim for one week.
There are no make-up classes are given if my child misses their class. A make-up lesson will only be given if a medical certificate is presented, explaining the reason for missing swimming lessons. Up to three per term will be honoured on this basis. Make-ups must be used within the same term they are granted. Make-ups will expire at the end of the term. No refund or credits will be given.
In the unlikely event that The Village Swim School cannot deliver the intended service due to illness, maintenance or natural disaster, a credit will be applied to the account to the value of the lesson for use in the following term. Any variations to the policy will be made at the discretion of management.
The Village Swim School staff and instructors accept responsibility for supervising the participant while directly involved in a lesson. At all other times, the parent or guardian is responsible for the supervision of the participant. The Village Swim is not responsible for the participant entering premises, and pool areas, changing, exiting premises and pool areas and any non-lesson time – this is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
